51 years ago... A baby by the name of Patrica Phua was born into the world... She was the eldest child in the family... She has 3 little brothers and 2 little sisters... Since young she stays with her grandparent... Her grandparent does not allow her to step into the kitchen or do any housework... As a result Patrica doesn't know how to cook... As most of the gals at her age already learning cooking... She could only stay in her room and study or watch TV programme... So this lead to her fav pass time was reading storybook... Patrica is a Maths GENIUS... She won lots of award during her sch time.. Her Maths teacher dote her... When Patrica graduate form her school her Maths teacher gave her a very big story book as souvenir... Remember 1 year one of her sister fails Maths at her prelim and Patrica coaches her with her maths. At the final year her sister got an A for Maths and her sister classmates come to ask Patrica for tuition..
When Patrica finishes her High School (which is our JC now...) She went to work at her uncle company... At that time her aunty keep helping her to find her MR Right... So they arrange Patrica and Swee Huat (the guy) at a birthday party to see if they like each other...
Pat version... Aunty: How? The guy ur type? Pat: huh... So fat!!!
Swee Huat version... Aunty: How? Is the gal nice? Swee Huat: huh... So thin!!!
Aunty and Patrica mother.. Aunty: Aiyo.. 1 say so thin, 1 say so fat... I think cannot liao la... Patrica mother: no choice lor...
Aunty to Swee Huat.. Aunty: Try Calling her la... Ask her go out try... If she interested in u than she will go out with u... If she dun wan than never mind lor...
After that day... Aunty keep asking Swee Huat to call till he very "fan".. Swee Huat finally made up his mind or rather pick up his courage to call Patrica... Patrica was free that day so they went for their first date... oh ya one more thing to add on... (Swee Huat wear till very smart for their first date... know y I said that? Cos Swee Huat hate matchmaking so that day at the birthday party he wear till very untidy... shirt: 1 side in, 1 side out.. beard also never shave...) After a few date they got together...
At the year of 1985 they got married... She was 28years old... After 1 year they give birth to a baby gal by the name of Doreen... when Doreen was 2 years old Selene was born...
Before Selene was born Patrica and Swee Huat afraid that Doreen will think that they dun love her any more and felt jealous about the new born baby and they sisters won't get along well in the future... So as soon as they know Patrica got Selene They told Doreen in a gentle way...
Pat and SH: Doreen you are going to have a sister or brother soon... There would be some one playing with u... u must dote her like we dote u k? Surprisingly Doreen was very Happy to hear that... And was very excited to see her new game partner..
When Selene was 2 years old Patrica was pregnant again... And they told Selene the same thing they told Doreen when Patrica had Selene...
For Years They leave Happily together... They are not very Rich, but they are just very contented with wat they have..
Till One day... Swee Huat left the Happily Family and would never return again... Never!!! (U know means in their whole life they would not see each other, talk to each other, Joke with each other and do things with each other again… Only thing left between them was Memories) Patrica broke down... How could the family live without him.. He is such a good father, good husband... Patrica asked... Y?Y? Mi? Y Is God so cruel? How could he take a good man just like that... Swee Huat so call friend still won't leave the poor patrica and her kid alone... They make their life more difficult by saying bad and untruth thing behind patrica's back... Wat should Patrica do? She is already 40plus years old nobody will to hire her... she doesn't know how to cook, doesn't have any skills... How is she going to brought up the three kids? She is totally lost... She goes for Interviews check out website... Kanna Cheated... Everything just won't fall into place and leave her any peace...
Luckily... She has a great family... Her brothers and sisters help them by lending them money and help her here and there whenever she needs help... Patrica Uncle ask Patrica to go back and help him work again… So Patrica when back to do admin jobs for them and help Patrica Uncle help them to cover their expenses as Patrica pay was too low... Things start to get into shape...
Although Patrica is working two jobs now to support the family... But they still have enough money to do Shopping... Patrica learns how to cook, do house work, manage money well and take very good care of her 3 beautiful daughters...
This is a story of a GREAT MUM... AND I am proud to say that she is MY MUM.... She once said if not for u all I won't live till now... A MUM Love is really very Powerful even with lots of obstacles ahead... Thanks MUM... I love U... Although she dun cook very well like other ppl do... she is still the best...
